Shenandoah 100 recap!

The Shenandoah 100 went better this year-no injuries and everyone finished! The torrentail downpour the night before made for even more lost sleep than usual, and muddier trails.

The winner, Chris Eatough (of 24 solo fame) finished in 7 hours 14 minutes. The last rider of the day came in at just under 16 hours! In 2007 the race implemented cut-off times at checkpoints for the safety of the riders and the sanity of the volunteers who have to be out on the course. There were 436 finishers and 74 riders who DNFd.

It's a great ride, and one of the best organized events in the country. If you're interested in going next year (the race is always Labor day weekend) be sure and register in the late spring as the race fills up quick.
